Hi, I'm Vimi Wang, the founder of Play It Now and pianist of fifteen years!

 

Growing up, I was drawn to piano not by scales or technique, but by the songs I loved. Yet for years, the music I actually wanted to play — pop songs, K-pop, or melodies from TV shows — was nowhere to be found in a format beginners could access. I had to figure it out myself, arranging songs by ear, piecing together tutorials, and teaching myself to bridge the gap between the music I heard and the music I could play.

 

That process was rewarding, but also frustrating and time consuming. Honestly, it shouldn't have to be that hard. That's why I built Play It Now. I realized that the people who want to learn piano most aren't always the ones who stick with traditional lessons — they're the friends who practice a video game song for hours just because they love it, the beginners who feel intimidated the moment sheet music gets too complex, the people who hear a song and think "I wish I could play that" but have no idea where to start.
